One of my enduring childhood memories is going to a drive-in in Minnesota as an 11-year old on my first trip abroad on my own (visiting relatives). A great way to watch a film, if you have the weather for it...
It's a damn shame I tell yea! Some of the best times of my life were at the drive-inn. I miss that place as if they tore down the house I grew up in! These new theaters just don't do it for me. I mean same old movies with better effects that's all it is. The first movie I ever saw there was the original Alien scarred the bejezus out the the whole crowd awesome stuff blew us away!! The last movie I saw there was Terminator 2. I'll never forget those days!! That was Salem to me back in the day. Good old Taco Jon's burrito, cruise n the gutt then hitten the drive-inn. Remember folks it's more about the experience's in life and not just another movie.. Gonna miss you old buddy.. R.I.P. And may you haunt the new theater ah hahhaahah!!!
Great old signage. One by one the drive-ins seem to be disappearing.
