One Last Stand

Pronzini Christmas Tree Farm
Delaney Road & Sunnyside Road

This is my favorite tree in town. I don't know what type it is. Anyone have any ideas? I pass it at least twice daily on my way to and from work. It is such a stately stand among the hundreds of soon to be disposable Christmas trees.

It looks very much like a horse-chestnut tree to me but I am really no expert.

It is so beautiful! I'm not one for chopping trees for Christmas. I'd rather use a fake one. I want trees to live forever!

Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comments.

I know without a doubt that this tree is an oak tree. The Noble Fir on this peice of property are disposable, but remember that christmas trees are a farm crop and 100% a sustanable and renewable resource. I do love the this picture.

It's an Oregon White Oak (Garry Oak). Much of the Willamette Valley was once covered with Oak savanna.
