Return to Grandeur

The Historic Elsinore Theater
170 High St SE
Salem, OR 97301
Originally opened to the public in 1926, the theater was nearly leveled in 1980 to make way for a parking lot. Thanks to the 'Save the Elsinore Committee', the site was preserved, renovated and reopened in 2004. Tonight I watched the classic 1927 silent movie, "Metropolis" accompanied by live Wurlitzer organ music.

Gorgeous and how awesome to see an old movie that was once played new in there! I bet that was a cool experience!
