Theme Day: Doorways

Bldg 46, 'J' Building
Oregon State Hospital
(formerly The State Insane Asylum)
2600 Center St NE
Salem, OR 97310

This 126-year old doorway (and building wing) actually doesn't exist any longer. Demolition and efforts to replace the dilapidated facilities began earlier this year.

very interesting and time-aged doorway. the black and white gives it an historical ambience

Awww, it's a little sad looking but a lovely monochrome shot and great THeme Day post.

It's a great shot. But Virginia is right, a little sad.

When we move to Oregon next year I would love to shoot some photos of my kids with barn doors in the back ground. I was hoping you could give me a few idea of great family photo places.

This is going to be one of my favorites. I like the mood of this shot, perfect in monochrome also. Old hospitals and asylums almost beg to be photographed.

Very nice theme day shot!
